Ultrasound Tech needed ASAP
Days / 4x10 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (4x10 hours, 0730-1800)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Required Certifications: ARDMS
Years of Experience: 4+
EMR: CERNER currently / transition to EPIC Q4 2024
Scrub Color: Black
Provide diagnostic Ultrasound scans for interpretation by radiologist and or performing physician in the performance of all ultrasound exams. Is able to be on call if needed. Apply principles of patient safety. Able to organize the daily schedule and be a dedicated resource to the Ultrasound team on shift.
Performs Ultrasound procedures. • Calls and disseminates reports and information. • Perform patient exams for outreach clinics as assigned. • Cleans and stocks area. • Charges supplies. • Schedules patients in correlation with other departments. • Maintains proper time sheets/work records. • Transports patients when necessary. • Complies with policies and procedures. • Assists co-workers in performing new/revised departmental procedures. • Remains updated and current by attending unit staff meetings/reading minutes. • Answers the telephone by giving department and name, transfers calls, takes messages, and utilizes the phone system features appropriately. • Instructs students in ultrasound duties. • Efficiently operates the appropriate computer systems within the department. • Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. • Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance. Meets Health System attendance standards. • Performs additional duties as assigned
