Job Description / Essential Elements:
The Speech and Language Therapist assesses students' communication skills to determine their speech and language deficits and to develop recommendations; consults with teachers, parents, other personnel and/or outside professionals to provide requested information, develop plans for services and make recommendations; instructs students to implement goals for remediation of speech and language deficits; participates in meetings (e.g. IEP conferences, in-services, etc.) to develop plans and/or provide information regarding students' functional goals; prepares documentation (e.g. evaluations, observations, progress, etc.) to provide written support, develop recommendations and/or convey information; presents information on various topics related to the area of professional expertise in psychology to communicate information and gain feedback on treatment issues; researches resources and methods (i.e. intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, etc.) to determine appropriate approach for students' speech and language services; screens students to determine the need for further individualized assessment, and assists other personnel as may be required to support them in the completion of their work activities.

+ $1,000 annual stipend for SLP
+ $1,200 annual stipend for state license
+ $1,750 annual stipend for MA degree or $2,000 for Doctorate degree
