Job Description
As a pediatric speech-language pathologist, you'll help children and teens with swallowing, speaking, understanding and other speech-related tasks they need to function. Working in a pediatric hospital, outpatient center, private practice or other healthcare environment, you'll review medical histories, develop and implement speech therapy treatment plans, recommend equipment, monitor patient progress and more. You'll play a critical role in helping young patients who are ill, injured or disabled regain independence and quality of life.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a speech language pathologist in a pediatric setting
- Degree in relevant field
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license
