Speech Pathologist (University - Full-time)

Job Description

IU Health University Hospital is seeking a Medical Speech-Language Pathologist with a desire to work full-time in a complex swallowing, voice and head and neck cancer outpatient clinic. The candidate would perform instrumental/clinical assessments and provide therapy to swallowing and voice patients as well as head and neck cancer patients undergoing surgery, radiation/chemoradiation or surveillance. The Medical Speech-Language Pathologist would function as part of a multidisciplinary team to collaborate on complex patients and optimize functional outcomes.
• Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in speech pathology or if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. Requires current license in the State of Indiana. Requires a certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
