Sr Speech/Language Pathologist FT
Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Senior Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluation/assessment, planning, educating, and providing habilitative or rehabilitative services for persons who have or are suspected of having speech, voice, language, oral pharyngeal function, developmental, or cognitive disorders. Assist in program management responsibilities. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. This position summary contains the most relevant duties, responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have and maintain current BLCS certification
2. Must be able to travel to STHS facilities as needed in job
3. Membership in professional organization preferred
4. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
1. Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
2. Must have and maintain current BCLS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider's Program.
3. ASHA certificate of clinical competence
4. Licensure in the State of Texas as Speech Language Pathologist
5. Three or more years of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
