The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to prescribe, provide, and coordinate care for Cardiology patients based on current standards of medical / surgical and critical care nursing. That care includes initial and ongoing assessment, drug administration, vascular access procedures, assisting physicians and technologists during procedures, and reporting on patients conditions post procedure. The nurse is responsible for ensuring continuity of patient care during their visit to. In addition, patient, family, and staff education is to be performed and documented.
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing - Required
Experience
1-2 Years critical care - Preferred
License & Certification
Registered Nurse License with State of Practice - Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required within 90 days of hire

Follow orders of the RN Team Leader
Uses clinical nursing judgment skills to determine need and follow thru with Clinic Members problems and notifying MD, RN, or Case Manager as needed. Completes all documentation related to triage problem/issue appropriately.
Perform direct patient care. Plan of care is developed and customized to include patient specific problems and learning needs and revises as the patient's condition change. Consults with the attending physician and other disciplines in establishing and altering the plan of care.
Works within the guidance of RN to provide job specific care for the patient.
