Primary Care Physician in New Fairfield, Connecticut (70 miles from New York City)
Affiliated with Danbury Hospital, Nuvance Health Medical Practice is seeking a Primary Care Physicianfor our New Fairfield Primary Care and Pediatrics practice in New Fairfield, Connecticut. Work with 3 experienced physicians, 1 Physician assistant and 1 Nurse Practitioner s in a busy established practice in a family friendly location with close proximity to NYC. There may be an opportunity for teaching medical students and Residents.
The office is a completely new facility with spacious exam rooms and dedicated office space for our physicians and advanced practitioners. We utilize a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record that is fully integrated across all our hospitals and ambulatory sites. We were one of the first practices in our area to be awarded a Level 3 certification for PCMH, and our practice is committed to undergraduate medical education with many of our clinicians precepting medical students from the University of Vermont.
This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k match. Hiring bonus may also be available.
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time, office-based position providing out-patient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

- Virtual scribes - to reduce charting time and enable clinicians to work top of license with more face-to-face time with their patients
- Daily Management Systems to ensure collaboration and problem solving occurs at the practice level - the clinicians and support staff know how best to solve for complex challenges
Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
- Have successfully completed a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Peds Residency.
- Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible
- After-hour coverage - light call volume to physician, shared among multiple providers to decrease call frequency, phone-calls only (after nurse triages first line)
- Bi-lingual Spanish skills a plus

Salary range: $275,000 - $285,000 annually commensurate or relative to experience
