Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist has a depth understanding of the labor market, recruitment tools, and the organization's operations and strategic plan to identify, attract, evaluate, select the best talent for employment and maintain effective programs for retention.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all pre/post-employment administrative functions are completed in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance; data is input into HR systems accurately and timely.
  • Communicates regularly with hiring managers to develop and maintain strong partnerships, keep abreast of job openings and advise them on recruitment issues and trends, compliance, interview techniques, etc.
  • Creates and fosters relationships with educational institutions and professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and student candidates. Actively engages with employees and potential candidates to build a pipeline of talent.
  • Ensures candidates designated for referral to hiring managers possess a high caliber of qualifications, skills and experience, and follows-up on outcome of interviews with hiring managers.
  • Extends/negotiates employment and salary offers using established hiring practices.
  • Maintains application tracking software, ensuring postings are up to date and accurate.
  • Identifies, coordinates and represents organization at appropriate recruitment venues (career fairs, college/high school career days, open houses, etc.) to maximize visibility and increase applicant pools.
  • Creates employment advertisements and other materials that accurately and concisely summarize position duties and qualifications.
  • Develops strong relationships with external recruitment resources to ensure the highest quality of referrals. Employs a variety of low or no fee recruitment tools (social media, advertisements, recruitment websites, job fairs and networking).
  • Collaborates on the development of plans to address recruitment/retention issues.
  • Keeps informed of the latest issues and trends in recruitment and health care.
  • Assists with additional duties as assigned.


Education:

High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Communications preferred.

Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years of recruiting experience required. Recruiting experience for positions in a variety of disciplines and levels in health care preferred.

Experience using recruitment HRIS systems preferred. General experience in internet-based recruitment or social media is required.

Licensure/Certification:
SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential required within 24 months of hire.
