Respiratory Therapist
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides a full range of respiratory care services to patients of University Health. Provides care to any age group from neonatal to geriatric as evidenced by the skill/competency check-offs. Ensures the prompt and proficient provision of respiratory related duties in accordance with physician directives. Complies with departmental and University Health's policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
An associate's degree, or higher, with a current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care and active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the Texas State Board of Health is required. Graduate Therapeutics must obtain their RRT within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification is mandatory.
