Crouse's Medical Imaging teamprovides services that include: Computed Tomography, Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasonography, Breast Health Services, Bone Densitometry, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Interventional Radiology. The Medical Imaging team is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist to work any of the following schedules: 7:00am-4:00pm, 3:00pm-12:00am, 11:00pm-7:30am, with weekends, holidays, on-call and other shifts assigned.
Pay Range: $33.27-$62.99/hour
Based on verified education and experience
Ultrasound Technologist responsibilities include:
- Properly prepares patient for exam through accurate verification of patient history and reason for referral.
- Thoroughly analyses the information or previous test results to clarify the information requested by the ultrasound examination.
- Confidently selects the suitable equipment to produce the best quality exam, i.e. which machine to use, as well as proper selection of transducer array and frequency.
- Competently performs diagnostic quality exams with the ability to accurately image, label, measure, demonstrate normal/abnormal anatomy, and record data pertinent to the exam.
- Diligently performs portable sonography at bedside when required.
- Prepares test results for analysis in an organized and timely manner.
- Promptly reports equipment malfunctions to the department supervisor.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or certificate from accredited sonography program or graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography program accredited by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA competency assessment)
- RDMS Mandatory or eligible to sit for boards upon hire date. If not registered already candidate must complete designation within one (1) year of hire date.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire.
