Visiting Faculty, Civil & Environmental Engineering
Section I: Scope
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Manhattan College invites applications for a visiting faculty position, specializing in Transportation Engineering. This non-tenure track position will be filled at the Lecturer, Assistant, or Associate level commencing Fall 2025. Candidates with expertise within all areas of Transportation Engineering are encouraged to apply especially those with a background in traffic operations, transportation materials, urban transportation planning, safety and ITS, multimodal systems, or AI/ML applications to transportation data analysis.

Responsibilities:
Teach courses in Transportation Engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) levels. All applicants are expected to have the necessary background to teach introductory civil engineering courses.
Section III: Qualifications
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree and a doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master's degree and relevant work experience can be considered "in lieu of" a doctorate for the visiting lecturer position. Applicants must be qualified to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) levels.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated expertise in specialty areas within Transportation Engineering. A professional engineering license (or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable time) is requested. Candidates will be evaluated on their academic background, professional experience, communication skills, and potential for excellence in teaching.

Salary: $85,000 to $90,000 per year
